The transformation of this room was simple, but the result was impressive. The client who hired us to execute this project had a definite demand: he would like a modern environment, with a masculine touch, without losing its joviality. As he likes to receive friends, he would also need a space for a minibar and extra benches. How to coordinate all this in just one space?
We started by evaluating the furniture he already had. They all had dark tones and that made the room cold and austere. We chose to keep most of them, but we made an important change: the dining table, which we chose in wood, to bring a more cozy element. We also opted for white chairs to complete the contrast.
The walls were repainted in a beige tone, and, to preserve the modern and bold air, we invested in black lamps, on the table and in the form of a rail, in the center of the room.
The slatted panel was another detail that complemented the contemporary atmosphere and was designed and executed by us, manually.
To solve the issue of benches and fridge in the living room, we chose a suspended piece of furniture purchased at Ikea, where we placed the TV and decorative objects on top and, below, the small fridge and pouf-style benches.
In other areas of the house, we found a side table that had no defined use, we brought it to the living room so that it could serve as support when welcoming people.
The two pictures above show how it looked before
